First Security Bank owners Lloyd and Barbara Amundson started a foundation for the sole purpose of giving back to the communities where they owned banks. In 1993 they started with the scholarship program, and it quickly evolved into additional giving to support other areas of these communities. Over the years, the Ohana foundation, through First Security Bank, has provided just over $ 6 million in financial gifts to many local nonprofit organizations such as volunteer fire departments, schools, hospitals, park renovations and many other similar organizations that provide each community with services or support.
